Okezue’s Learnings from 2020

One of the biggest things I did this year was secure some exciting relationships that could lead to big things. In doing this, I realized the importance of trying. In fact, there are a lot of different things that can come out of reaching out. Here’s some of the things that happened to me from trying:

  1. Speaking with CEOs of companies (2021) worth up to $2B; working on new distribution schemes and approaches for different demographics
  2. Working directly with the co-founder of kindEarth.tech and newProtein.org (she’s also the daughter of the inventor of clean meat), Ira van Eelen, on building new promotional systems for alternative protein shows, podcasts, and events
  3. Been approached by leading companies as a candidate for a leading position

It’s really important to have the willingness to try.

If you don’t, then nothing will really happen to you. It’ll be more likely that you’ll end up regretting your decision. It’s important that you actually do your best.

You’ve got to have the independence factor, where your struggle doesn’t stop you. You’re willing to do your best, despite a big failure or letdown.
