Brain → Handwriting

A computational method allowing the disabled to write and text.

What follows is a review of a BCIs that uses neural image reconstruction for brain to text to handwriting communication.

So, how did they do it?

Neuralink-Fig shows the hand knob epsilon-shaped gyrus on the PG responsible for hand control potency.
e. Note that t-SNE plots can be deceiving to interpret. The hyperparameters have a huge effect on the result, and the sizes of the data clusters are negligible, as dense clusters are naturally expanded (the opposite is true for sparse clusters) by t-SNE. The significance of cluster distance can also be quite elusive; here some of the clusters aren’t well separated, meaning their distances hold some significance. d. handwriting rendering for each character from pen-tip trajectory (orange = start). b + c. principal component analysis example for d, e, and m; c is time-warped neural activity that minimizes fluctuations/error between trials.
